These judges will decide which company will win the coveted Disrupt Cup and $100,000 prize. Navin Chaddha is a distinguished figure in the venture capital world, known for his strategic insights and successful track record. At Mayfield, Chaddha leads the firm’s focus on cognition-as-a-service (CaaS) and generative AI cognitive plumbing. This innovative approach emphasizes investing in the foundational infrastructure behind AI-driven companies and technologies, drawing from Chaddha’s extensive experience with paradigm shifts in the tech industry. His notable contributions include founding VXTreme, which became Microsoft Windows Media, and investing in infrastructure leader HashiCorp during the cloud era.
Under Chaddha’s leadership, Mayfield has raised eight U.S. funds and guided over 80 companies to successful exits. Throughout his venture capital career, he has invested in more than 60 companies, with 18 of them going public, including industry giants like Lyft, Poshmark, and SolarCity. Additionally, 27 of his portfolio companies have been acquired, highlighting his keen ability to identify and nurture high-potential startups.
