Is AI going to make us all more productive at work? Executives are feeling optimistic, but workers aren’t quite as convinced.
That’s according to a new study from freelancing marketplace Upwork. The company says it surveyed 2,500 executives, full-time employees, and freelancers across the U.S., U.K., Australia and Canada and asked them about their views on AI in the workplace.
Apparently, 96% of C-suite executives said they expect AI to increase their company’s productivity, and 39% said their companies are already mandating the use of AI tools.
In contrast, 77% of workers said AI has actually decreased their productivity and added to their workload. And 47% of them said they have no idea how to achieve the productivity gains that their bosses are expecting.
